Residency> The program has eighteen resident positions. Six new residents are appointed each year, four in general neurology and two in child neurology. All general neurology applicants must either have completed all requirements for residency or anticipate completing them prior to starting residency at the PGY-2 level. These requirements are (1) doctorate in medicine, (2) satisfaction completion of one year of postgraduate training in internal medicine or a preliminary year that included at least six months of general internal medicine. expected to apply separately to fulfill the prerequisite postgraduate
training in internal medicine; positions
at Vanderbilt Medical Center are guaranteed for individuals matching into
the neurology program. All adult neurology positions are filled through
