The Orthopaedic Department at Vanderbilt has a very strong program for the care of cerebral palsy patients. Of course this is an interdisciplinary program in conjunction with many other clinical departments at the medical center.

The pediatric orthopaedic division is extremely active in the treatment of children with cerebral palsy. Upon reaching adulthood, the cerebral palsy patient is referred to the Adult Cerebral Palsy Program for continued orthopaedic management.

Patients with other neuromuscular disorders who have orthopaedic needs are also evaluated and treated in this program.
