Latex Sensitivity
Management

Latex allergy develops from exposure to natural rubber latex and is a serious medical problem for a growing number of patients and healthcare workers.

Continued exposure to latex allergens increases sensitization and worsens allergic reactions. There is no treatment for a latex allergy except avoidance.

This site contains Latex policies and area specific procedures, patient and family education, environmental preparation, product information, references and additional resources.

Are you allergic to latex? Contact the Occupational Health Clinic at 936-0955 to get a confidential evaluation if you are a Vanderbilt employee with a suspected reaction.
