Raychel began her nursing career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2003. She was a Transplant Nurse Coordinator for the Vanderbilt Transplant Program from 2005-2008. During that time she improved work flow within the transplant program by mentoring the transplant nursing staff in implementation of Rx Star and encouraging utilization of the Electronic Medical Record. Raychel is experienced at identifying and processing information to support clinical practice. She recently received her five-year service pin and is looking forward to many more years at Vanderbilt as an EMR Specialist. She currently supports the following clinic areas:

Beth started her nursing career at a large private practice ob/gyn office in the Chicago suburbs. After seven years of valuable outpatient experience, Beth relocated to Vanderbilt Medical Center in July 2003, as a triage nurse with the Med Arts Ob/Gyn Practice. Seeing the significant benefits of an electronic charting system, Beth quickly became an advocate of the EMR record, eventually piloting Rx Star before transitioning to the EMR team in October 2008. Alicia first came to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2006 as a pharmacy technician. Her longtime desire to help others in a greater capacity soon propelled her into nursing. She has since served as a registered nurse for the inpatient Neuroscience Department and Vanderbilt Medical Group's outpatient Neurology Clinic in Williamson County. She joined the EMR Team in September 2008. Since then the leadership and training experiences she has gained in these roles provide her with the foundation needed to remotely support VMG as SureScripts Liaison, conductor of the Weekly Message Basket Audit, RxStar audit/RxStar protocols, Starpanel tutorials, and Miscellaneous/Non-VMG Clinics and temporary coverage for Oncology related areas including:

Kristin began working at Vanderbilt in August, 2007, after relocating from from Washington, D.C.
Her nursing career started in 2003 with four years of experience as an inpatient med/surg nurse, followed by two years as a nurse in the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Management at VMG. A strong advocate for the electronic medical record, Kristen is currently pursuing MSN in Nursing Informatics at Vanderbilt's School of Nursing. She currently supports the following clinic areas:

Shelly began her nursing career at Vanderbilt in 2004 and has a background in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience as a resource nurse for the Pediatric Medical Specialties Clinics along with her more recent position as Charge Nurse for Vanderbilt’s Asthma, Sinus, Allergy Program has given her extensive knowledge of clinic process and the utilization of the EMR. In her clinics, Shelly has worked extensively with both the Whiteboard and Rx Star. She currently supports the following clinic areas:

Lori is from Miami, FL and started her Nursing career in 2001 at Miami Children’s Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Over the next 7 years Lori worked in Pediatric Intensive Care including a stent as a travel nurse at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. Lori relocated to Nashville in 2008 and joined the Vanderbilt team as an Infusion Nurse. This role led to an incredible opportunity to be an advocate of the EMR before transitioning to the EMR team in July of 2009. She currently supports the following clinic areas:

Mark has been at Vanderbilt four years and comes to the EMR Team from Informatics. He supports the EMR Team with “behind the scenes” administrative duties and project management. Along with creating tutorials and web in-services, Mark is also responsible the EMR Newsletter and Website.

Stephanie has been with Vanderbilt 17 years. She is a former Epic Support Trainer with a background as a Respiratory Care Assistant and a PSR. Stephanie works with VMG administration to organize and support the on-boarding and orientation of new staff to the clinics. Her primary focus will be in StarPanel to enhance training. She will also assist in creating new and defined career pathways for clinical staff and will be responsible for implementing the “Learning Exchange” for the EMR Team with new and exciting training tutorials and learning modules for VMG staff.

Lisa is an EMR Specialist who began her nursing career in June of 1989. She came to Vanderbilt in March of 1992. Since 2002, she has focused on VUMC EMR training, education, and implementation. Her prior background includes Emergency Department nursing at both Johns Hopkins Hospital and VUMC. She has extensive Cardiac Nursing experience as a former Lead Charge Nurse of the VUMC Cath Lab and as a nurse within the Cardiac and Thoracic clinic. Angie manages the support for all Pediatric common systems as well as department-specific software and their integration into the clinical process, while advocating for Pediatric-specific initiatives in the design and modifications of these systems. Her association with Pediatrics has been synonomous with her career at Vanderbilt, beginning with her role in Pediatric Endocrinology in 1997. Joining the Pediatric Clinical Administration team in 2004, she played an integral role in the relocation of the Children's Outpatient facilities into its new location in the Doctors' Office Tower of Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Her experience lies in management, IT support and project management in both healthcare and daycare center areas.

Pamela works with the Pediatric Informatics Team as a Coordinator of Office Technology. Pamela came to Vanderbilt in 1992 after being in the legal field as a paralegal for many years. She started her career at Vanderbilt in the adult Dermatology department, then transferred a few years later to the VMG Training Department as a Trainer and was on board when Epic was first implemented at Vanderbilt. She was Program Coordinator and helped manage the Patient & Family Care Program in the Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center for six years, working with patients and their families and managing the volunteers for that program. She returned to VMG Training as a support trainer for Epic and Hyperspace in 2004, and came on board with the Children's Hospital Outpatient Care Informatics Team in February 2007 where she helps support StarPanel, RxStar and a variety of staff, computer and equipment related issues for pediatric outpatient clinics.

Mike works with the Pediatric Informatics Team as a Coordinator of Office Technology. Mike came to Vanderbilt in 2007 after a successful career as a business consultant. He brings with him the experience of information management systems implementations and project management skills from a global perspective within the pharmaceutical arena. He started his career at Vanderbilt in the VMG Training department as a support trainer for Epic Hyperspace and Star Panel for the adult outpatient clinics, and has obtained the designation of EPIC Proficiency. Mike came on board with the Children's Hospital Outpatient Care Informatics Team in June 2008 where he assists in the support of StarPanel, RxStar and a variety of staff, computer and equipment related issues for pediatric outpatient clinics.

Christina works with the Pediatrics Informatics Team as a Coordinator of Office Technology. Christina came to Vanderbilt in 2008 after being the Project Coordinator at a MP&E Engineering company where she set up all incoming projects, performed some mechanical and plumbing drafting and designing, and also made sure all projects were received by the clients in a timely manner. She graduated from Cumberland University with a Bachelor in Business Administration, a Computer Information Systems minor, and a Criminal Justice minor. Christina came on board with the Children’s Hospital Outpatient Care Informatics Team in July 2008 where she assists in the support of StarPanel, RxStar, and a variety of staff, computer and equipment related issues for pediatric outpatient clinics.
