- Full-time Faculty

Our department includes 75 full time and more than 100 part time faculty members. Among them are internationally recognized experts in the diagnosis and treatment of substance use, mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. The department-sponsored Grand Rounds series provides community-wide education on mental health, with renowned faculty from both Vanderbilt and other institutions.
We provide inpatient care to children, adolescents, and adults in the Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital (VPH), an 88-bed facility on the campus of the Vanderbilt Medical Center. The neighboring Veterans Administration Hospital, across a small courtyard from our campus, is a clinical and training site for our faculty.
Research has grown rapidly in our department over the last two years, with increased NIH funding and spanning a wide range of clinical, translational and preclinical studies of brain and behavior.
In this website, we hope you'll find a helpful introduction. We look forward to welcoming you personally when you consult with the members of our thriving department.
