Research Description
My current researchprojects include: (1) Fiber tractography using diffusion tensor MRI, and its applications in developmental studies of the human brain, structural characterization of skeletal muscles, integrated investigations of brain structure-function relationships. (2) Quantification of coronary arterial dynamics using biplane cineangiograms, and exploration of the implications of coronary arterial motion in atherogenesis. (3) Volumetric analysis of normal and diseased brain tissue imaged with MRI. Techniques involve segmentation, classification, non-rigid deformation and other related image analysis, computer vision and pattern recognition techniques.
