Patient Care Specialty
Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI)

Research Specialty
Functional MRI, functional connectivity in epilepsy, clinical functional cortical mapping, integration of EEG and fMRI, software phantom for fMRI analysis validation

Research Description
Dr. Morgan's research interests include using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) to study brain activation under various situations. She is currently developing fMRI methods to localize seizure activity in epileptics. Other projects include the mapping of normal and pathological neural circuits using fMRI, development of simultaneous EEG and fMRI methods, adapting fMRI mapping for clinical use in presurgical evaluations, and developing software tools for use in development and evaluation of fMRI processing algorithms.

Clinical Interests
My clinical interests involve the use of functional MRI to localize eloquent cortex prior to neurosurgery.
