Low Vision therapy |  |

A licensed occupational therapist works with the Department of Ophthalmology to provide individualized services to patients with low vision disorders including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Working closely with the optometrist, the occupational therapist evaluates the patient's functional deficits as a result of their visual impairment and provides training using optical and non-optical devices to help improve their activities of daily living. Oncology Rehab Program Reporter Article - May 2, 2008 Sheila Gaffney's poster on Musculoskeletal Sarcom was accepted at the 2008 APTA CSM meeting in February. Hung Do, Jimmy Gilmore, Shane Kerlin and Darrell Lee and Julie Neaderthal receive certified MDT status (spine rehab) from McKenzie International! VUMC Rehabilitation Oncology Program will present “A rehabilitation oncology program for recipients of stem cell transplantation (sct): an evidence-based pilot program” at the American Physical Therapy Association’s Combined Sections Meeting, February 2008. |
