Workshops set for Global Health Forum

2/02/2012 - The 2012 Tennessee Global Health Forum, “Measuring Impact and Maximizing Success in Global Programs,” will be held in the Vanderbilt University Student Life Center on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Keynote speakers will be Vanderbilt University Medical School graduates Milton Ochieng', M.D., and Fred Ochieng', M.D., co-founders of the Lwala Community Alliance in rural Kenya, and Randy Wykoff, M.D., MPH, dean of the School of Public Health at East Tennessee State University.

The daylong event, hosted by the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health, will highlight lessons learned by local and international humanitarian and non-governmental organizations.

Workshops include building health care capacity, short-term missions, NGO management and marketing and reporting.

“Early-bird” registration, until Feb. 9, is $25; standard registration is $35.
