Peter Jennings, the longtime ABC News anchor who died this week from lung cancer, is remembered at VUMC for broadcasting from the Medical Center in September, 1993, when Jennings and an ABC crew came to Nashville to cover the issues of health care reform. Here, he meets with Joseph C. Ross, M.D., then-associate vice chancellor for Health Affairs, and William Walsh, M.D., associate professor of Pediatrics to discuss lung problems in premature infants. In the other photo, he awaits his cue to begin the live broadcast of ABC's World News Tonight from outside the Emergency Department.
