The Department of Anesthesiology at Vanderbilt University offers a single ACGME accredited, one-year Obstetric Anesthesiology Fellowship position annually. The program is committed to providing the highest quality training for future leaders, educators, researchers, and practitioners of obstetrical anesthesiology.
The fellowship program includes a rigorous & highly mentored core fellowship curriculum, devoted to fundamental goals & objectives. Equally important, the program offers a high degree of flexibility and encourages the formulation of individual programs of learning and achievement that address the unique interests & career goals of each fellow, whether their paths be oriented to clinical care, scholarship, administration, education, private practice, academics, or research. Fellows enjoy a vast abundance of clinical & academic resources that support & enhance their professional development.
The program typically starts in July or August, although other start dates may be considered. Applications should be submitted as early as possible, ideally at least a year in advance (e.g. during the the applicant's CA2 year). Selected applicants will be invited to Vanderbilt for a personal interview.
