Do you need pilot funds to help pay for core service fees?
The Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (VICTR) provides a mechanism for funding the cost of resources used for translational research. Vouchers are designed to provide financial support in the form of micro-grants (up to two $2,000 awards in a 6 month period) to enable preliminary work and generation of pilot data. The submission process is minimal and requests are typically reviewed within two business days. Your voucher can be used instead of a cost center number to pay for services provided by any VUMC core that bills through CORES.
Note: Animal research cannot currently be funded through this mechanism.
