Integrity Line to Report Fraud, Waste, and Abuse and other Concerns

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Integrity Line (hotline) and website for anonymously reporting fraud, waste, and abuse was launched in March 2012.  Faculty and staff can use the Integrity in Action reporting network to report unethical, illegal, or unsafe activity at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The website — www.vanderbilt.edu/integrityline  — and toll free number — (866) 783-2287 — are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  You do not have to give your name, although you might be asked to check back to provide additional information or to answer questions.

Existing procedures will also remain in place for those wishing to report complaints through a supervisor or to the office charged with ensuring compliance with a particular policy.

Reports involving allegations of harassment and/or discrimination that fall within the Medical Center's non-discrimination and anti-harassment policy should be reported directly to Human Resources.

Thousands of brochures and posters have been disseminated throughout the campus publicizing this reporting network.  If you need posters or brochures (viewable by clicking the image above) for your work area, please contact the Office of Healthcare Compliance at 615-343-7266 or compliance.office@vanderbilt.edu.

Compliance violations can occur anywhere at any time.  A violation can be intentional or unintentional.  The environment in which we work is very complex and so are the laws that govern our industry.  You always have the right to report a potential violation directly to the Compliance Office with the VUMC confidential compliance Integrity Line.
