Background

Dr. Mawn currently is an associate professor of ophthalmology and neurological surgery at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She has been on the faculty since December 1998. Dr. Mawn's primary research interests are in advances in surgical treatment of orbital disorders. She is the Principal Investigator for a research study funded by the National Eye Institute to examine endoscopic approaches to orbital disease. She has authored numerous scientific articles and chapters on orbital topics including orbital biomaterials and development of endoscopic approaches to orbital disease. She is the vice-president of Nashville Academy of Ophthalmology. She is also listed in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare.
