Telemedicine

Project Description: Development of capabilities to support the transfer of medical information through interactive audiovisual media, or reach clinical signals for the purpose of consulting, or enhancing clinical decision making for care provided at a distance. Some of the components may include two-way video conferencing, remote monitoring, phone, fax, e-mail, secure messaging, store and forward/interpret, personal health record, remote access electronic health record, health information exchange, and sometimes remote medical procedures or examinations.
