Job Shadowing
What HIPAA requirements must be met in order for someone to participate in a shadowing/observing situation? What is the process for a shadow/observation experience at Vanderbilt University Medical Center?
Individuals wishing to shadow or observe will need to complete HIPAA training as well as other requirements such as making sure immunizations are up-to-date if they will be around patients, etc. For requirements at VUMC, please see www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/voe.
