MIHOW Program

Every year MIHOW recognizes three local women who have mentored others in the same spirit with which our outreach workers mentor moms and families throughout the southeast. MIHOW defines a mentor as someone who helps others discover strengths they may not see and then helps foster these attributes to reveal their own power.

“It is fitting that we honor women in our community who purposefully demonstrate MIHOW’s philosophy in their careers and daily lives,“ said Tonya Elkins, Director of MIHOW.  “The Celebration honorees have impacted hundreds of lives in underserved communities, and have helped others realize the multi-faceted benefits of mentorship.”
