            How is Vanderbilt Pharmacy prepared to provide specialty medications?
 
Vanderbilt Pharmacy has provided specialty medications to patients for over 15 years. Patients with special health needs have been our focus. Our Pharmacy is a part of the Vanderbilt Medical Center that daily works with physicians and patients in providing specialty medications. We do this very well. 
 
The Pharmacy has dedicated professional staff and workspace to support Specialty Pharmacy services.
 
 
What can I expect when I enroll in the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy services?
 
The Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy staff will be contacting you regarding your medication needs and any required supplies. They will step you through the enrollment process, which will include information about you, your health, and your medications. 
 
Once enrolled, the Specialty Pharmacy will be contacting you shortly after you begin your new specialty medication and each time before your refill is due.
 
 
How will my medication and required supplies be delivered?
 
The Pharmacy will utilize UPS and FedEx to deliver your medications and any required supplies to your designated residence. 
 
Medications that are heat sensitive will be appropriately packaged.
 
 
When can I expect my medication and required supplies to be delivered?
                       
If your prescription is able to be refilled, your medication and supplies will be to the delivery company within 2 business days. If there are issues refilling your prescription, the staff at the Pharmacy will contact you and update you regarding the status of your order.
 
All specialty medications will be delivered the next day. The Specialty Pharmacy will coordinate wth you when your medication will be delivered. 
 
   What is the delivery fee?
 
There is no charge for delivery.
 
 
 How do I let you know I need refills?
           
The Specialty Pharmacy staff should be contacting you before you are requiring a refill. However, you may contact the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy as follows:

                 How will you process my payment?
 
Your copayment and any additional delivery fees will be charged to your credit card or debit card.
 
 
                 What if there are problems with my delivery?
 
Please contact the Vanderbilt Specialty Pharmacy and let the staff know your concerns.
 
 
  Can I change from mail order to pick up?
           
Yes, if you would like to pick up your specialty medication from any of the 4 Vanderbilt Pharmacies, please let us know when we contact you about your next refill.
