Our Mission

With the newly provided support of the administration, we have started a pilot program in Light Hall to collect recycling throughout the building.  We have expanded to now collect Plastic (#1 and #2), Aluminum, and Paper.  Medical students are no longer responsible for the collections, as recycling is being integrated into Environmental Services.  We are closely monitoring the implimentation of this new program and have been working with the staff to ensure a smooth transition.  Hopefully we will be able to expand to many other areas of the medical center as soon as time and resources permit.  As a group, we are still working to promote environmental awareness and responsibility throughout the VUMC community and Nashville.
