When you visit the Learning Center in Medical Center North’s Round Wing (S-2400), you will find programs and services that reflect the complex needs of a diverse workforce. Some days, nurses and care partners are learning or renewing their skills. On other days, managers participate in leadership development sessions or staff are learning more about Elevate.
Although 12,000 learning visits happen in the learning center each year – annual safety training, orientations for nurses, care partners, and orientation for new staff to the medical center – you will not feel like a number. Learning Center staff focus on individuals. Programs are adapted for specific groups and sometimes are delivered off-site or in department locations.
