What is VMC Orientation All About?
You Make a Difference is an orientation for all Vanderbilt employees every Monday. It's about Service, Performance, Relationships and Safety.
Hearts and Minds Orientations is for Medical Center Staff. It is held on Tuesdays at the Learning Center in the round wing of Medical Center North. "Hearts and Minds" focuses on:
- VMC mission, credo, behaviors, pillar goals and elevate
- Orientation process: what to pay attention to for the first 30 days, 90 - 180 days, annually and ongoing
- The way we introduce ourselves, our role and purpose at VMC
- Credo behaviors and Leader panel
- Customer service and service recovery
- Performance: Choices and Commitments
- Working Safely: Infection Control, Fire, OSHA, HIPAA, Ergonomics, Emergency Preparedness, Managing Risk, and Hand Hygiene
- Occupational Health Screening
Registration is required by 2:00 pm on the Wednesday prior to each Monday orientation. Call (615) 322-2081 for details.

Please send a translator or helper for any new staff who are not proficient in English or reading.
ORIENTATION REGISTRATION
All staff must attend orientation and be registered through the Orientation Tracking System (OTS).
Simply use your VUNET ID and Password to gain access.
