  In Safety Fair LIVE, Mock Code/STAT is required every other year for staff who respond to clinical emergencies. The hour-long sessions begin promptly on the hour and half-hour. The last session every day begins at 5 pm. Please plan ahead. The session includes. . .

  • Mock Code
  • Defibrillation/AED
  • Airway Management
  • Blood Administration

     
Required for direct care staff every other year. 
You do not have to complete this station if you have. . .
current certification - ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP
or
during the past 24 months you have completed the following
  • Essentials of Resuscitation (EOR)
  • Clinical Orientation
  • Advanced Airway course for physicians   
  • training in your own department

     

Restraint Competency

The training is an annual requirement for staff who initiate, monitor and/or remove a restraint OR any staff providing direct care for a patient in a restraint.  Sessions are 30 minutes.  The restraint application check-off can happen at Safety Fair or as a unit  based activity.  If you have any questions, please contact your manager, educator or Kelly Ernst (kelly.ernst@vanderbilt.edu) .
