Autonomic Disorders

Introduction

The term 'dysautonomia' is not a diagnosis, but rather it is a reference to a group of disorders in which there may be one or more very different problems with function of the autonomic nervous system.  In this section, information is provided on several specific (and different) disorders under the umbrella of 'autonomic dysfunction'.  While attempts have been made to ensure accuracy, no guarantees are provided.  This information should not replace the diagnosis and counsel of a medical professional.
