About The Center

A Pilot Program to encourage Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) and Comprehensive Cancer Center collaborations for research in HIV/AIDS-related malignancies. This NCI/NIAID funding will support one-year grants in an amount up to $75,000 (in total costs). The intention is to jump start collaborative research activities between CFARs and Cancer Centers, and provide seed money for innovative projects that address this ongoing and critically important side of the AIDS epidemic that remains relatively under-studied.

Please see the RFA  link for more information. You will note that the RFA indicates that this NCI/NIAID program is being administered by the University of Pennsylvania. The program evolved through the efforts of CFAR directors with strong interests in HIV/AIDS-related malignancies, led by James Hoxie (Director of the UPenn CFAR).
