Adjunct Research Assistant Professor of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery
Amosy M’Koma began his research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2004 as a postdoctoral fellow in Cancer Biology.
He received his medical degree from the Kharkov Medical Institute in Ukraine in 1984. He then went on to complete his Ph.D. and Master of Science in Surgery from Karolinska Institutet in Sweden, as well as his surgical residency at Karolinska University Hospital.
Dr. M’Koma’s research interests include the pathophysiology of inflammatory bowel disease, as well as the effectiveness of restorative proctocolectomy.
His research has been published in such peer-reviewed journals as the International Journal of Colorectal Disease, Clinical Cancer Research, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
