Who Should Participate?
In the past fifteen years, approximately 1150 physicians have attended the CME courses at Vanderbilt. Course evaluations and the clinical experience of the faculty suggest that thecourses are effective and well received by the participants. Data on participants who have attended our courses indicate that they tend to come from solitary practices or small group family practices in either very small or very large communities. Participants are often angry and confused at the beginning of the course but most become more open and self-reflective as the course unfolds. Some participants have noted that the courses have a "tough love" quality about them.
