Who We AreOur mission at the Vanderbilt Center for Craniofacial Surgery is to provide hope for those with congenital or acquired head and face deformities. Craniofacial surgery is possible with the ongoing development of new technology, as well as an improved understanding of the physiology and long-term effects of facial deformities.
Craniofacial deformities can lead to a number of complications which affect not only the patient’s social acceptance and self-esteem, but also proper development of mental and physical capabilities.
Under the direction of the Vanderbilt Department of Plastic Surgery, the Center for Craniofacial Surgery has assembled a multi-disciplinary team of specialists from surgery, otolaryngology, oral health, psychiatry, ophthalmology, pediatrics, speech pathology and social work.
