Because craniofacial anomalies are complex, seeking treatment for them can be frustrating. At the Vanderbilt Craniofacial Treatment Center we streamline assessment and treatment. During preassessment we determine the nature and history of the anomaly and the probable course of treatment. We schedule onsite assessment for a single day in a single location to eliminate trips to multiple offices over a long time. When you arrive at Vanderbilt all the necessary specialists from our CFA team will contribute to your individualized treatment plan:
Based in a large medical center, our CFA team members are close at hand for consultation and accustomed to coordinating treatment. For patients and their families this continuity of care provides the best results.
Following the assessment visit, the craniofacial team reviews your case and constructs the unique treatment plan for your needs. If surgery is required, you will return for follow-up visits with your Vanderbilt physicians. We welcome the involvement of referring physicians. Their input helps us avoid needless and expensive repetitions during treatment and hastens your return to their care. In addition, we always include the emotional needs of patients and their families as a part of any treatment plan.
We welcome your questions and look forward to helping you meet your goals.
