Who We Are

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery consists of the divisions of Dentistry and Orthodontics. We also provide a comprehensive spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgical services to children and adults. In 2008, we became the official remote anesthesia site for adolescent and adult patients undergoing routine office-based oral surgical procedures. As a teaching hospital, the 2012-2013 academic year begins the 43rd year of the oral residency training program at Vanderbilt.
