Martina Smith, Dental Assistant
Martina has worked at Vanderbilt for 11 years.

Lisa Buttrum, Dental Assistant
Lisa has been a Nashville resident for 12 years. She has been a dental assistant for 4 years. Lisa enjoys anything involving a challenge, including but not limited to rock climbing, kayaking and white water rafting.

Joni Jones Carter, RN

Joni has been an RN since 2006 and at Vanderbilt since 2010. Originally from Dallas, TX, Joni moved to the area in 2010 with her husband who is in the Army and stationed at Fort Campbell. They have two cats, Sasha and Bebe, and a dog, Bailey. Joni is active in their Army Family Readiness group and serves as a member of the Staff Nurse Council for Vanderbilt Medical Group.

Holly King, RN

Holly has twelve years of experience in oral surgery and takes price in her profession as a registered nurse. She enjoys spending time with her family and being involved with their activities. She also enjoys Zumba, drawing and outdoor activities.

Debbie Trewyn, Senior Executive Secretary
A 30-year employee of Vanderbilt, Debbie joined the department in 2008. Prior to that, she worked for many years in the Provost's office. In her spare time, Debbie loves to travel with husband, Bob, and their 100-pound "puppy," Samson.

Teresa A. Fort, Patient Service Representative
With 20 years experience in the medical field, Teresa has been a PSR in the Oral Surgery Dept. for the past 3 years. Teresa’s extracurricular activities include Grand Worthy Matron, Eastern Stars, Queen Esther #1Samson.

Zilphia Howard, Patient Service Representative
Zilphia has 19 years of experience in the healthcare field. She has served as a PSR with OMS for the past 4 years.

Vera Pentcheva, Referral Specialist
Vera is originally from Bulgaria. She has worked at Vanderbilt for 9 years. She lives with her husband, two children, and lots of pets. Vera loves to bike to work and she swims during her lunch break.

Connie B. Suggs, Department Education Asst.
Connie has been working at Vanderbilt in the OMS Department since 2006.
