Who We Are

Naji N. Abumrad, M.D. The Vanderbilt Department of Surgery was established in 1925. Since then it has evolved to become one of eight surgical specialty departments in the Section of Surgical Sciences. It is home to the General Surgery Residency Program and to six clinical service divisions:
