Peter Wiebe successfully defended his thesis on June 27, 2007. He has since joined Abbott Labs in Chicago, IL.

Laura Wilding Crawford
Laura Wilding Crawford successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on June 13, 2007. She had earlier decided that she wanted to enroll in veterinary school, with the goal of becoming a laboratory animal pathologist. She has now matriculated at the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.

Elizabeth Tweedie Ables
Elizabeth Tweedie Ables successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on March 14, 2007. She has since moved on to a post-doctoral fellowship with Daniela Drummond-Barbosa in the Department of Cell & Developmental Biology here at Vanderbilt, where she is studying the role of insulin and nutrition in Drosophila melanogaster oogenesis.

Amanda Ackermann Misfeldt
Amanda Ackermann Misfeldt successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis on September 5th, 2008. She just graduated in May 2010 from Medical and the Graduate at Vanderbilt University.

Hongjie Zhang
Hongjie Zhang completed her post-doctoral fellowship in our laboratory in September 2007. She is now a Research Instructor at the Hufflington Center on Aging at Baylor College of Medicine.

Jia Zhang successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis in April 2010. She has since moved on to a post-doctoral fellowship with Klaus Kaestner at University of Pennsylvania.
Michelle Guney successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis in February 2011. She has since moved on to a post-doctoral fellowship at University of Colorado Denver.
Renuka Menon completed her post-doctoral fellowship in our lab in December 2009. She is now a post-doctoral fellow at Baylor College of Medicine.
