General Surgery Interest Group
Thank you for your interest in general surgery. The mission of the General Surgery Interest Group (GSIG) is to provide medical students with information about and career advising within the field of general surgery.
As an introduction to the field, we highly recommend the video series "Redefining Surgery." A link to the seven-minute trailer is available here.
In addition to this website, we also plan a variety of events for students throughout the year. These include panel discussions with general surgery residents and attending physicians, surgical skills workshops, and more. We hope that you find the information on our website useful, and we encourage you to attend any of our planned events.
