Titus Daniels, MD, MPH, MMHC serves as the Vice Chair for Clinical Affairs, Medicine, Medical Director of Medical Information Services, and Co-Chair of the Health Record Executive Committee.Â He joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2007 and is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.Â Dr. Daniels completed his fellowship at Vanderbilt University and attended medical school at the University of Kansas where he also completed his residency.
Gaye Smith, MBA is the Chief Patient Experience & Service Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She joined Vanderbilt in 2004 as the Privacy Official and accepted the additional role and responsibilities for the Health Record Program Office in 2009. In July of 2010, she accepted the additional role as Patient Experience and Service Officer. She has over 35 years of management experience in health care operations, health care information systems, regulatory compliance and accreditation, ambulatory network development, and as a hospital Chief Operating Officer in two Catholic health care systems. She holds Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration and Master of Business Administration degrees.
Nancy Anderson, MPHÂ joined Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) in 1994.Â During her tenure at VUMC, she has held a variety of administrative roles, including Manager of several outpatient clinics, Manager of Insurance Management, and Director of The Learning Center.Â In her current position as Director, Health Record Program, she has operational responsibility for the department, but also leads multi-disciplinary teams to create policy and standards for the medical record as well as implementing strategies to achieve a fully electronic medical record.Â She has been a member of HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) since 2009. Nancy holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
Elizabeth Thielke, MSN, RNÂ has been with Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) since 2001.Â She has experience in nursing, management, healthcare information systems and research.Â During her tenure at Vanderbilt, she has served as the Assistant Director of Admitting and a Research Nurse in Radiology where she was the Coordinator of the National Lung Screening trial.Â She joined the Health Record Program Office in December 2011 as a Clinical Documentation Specialist where she manages health record paper and electronic documentation creation, maintenance, and evaluation.Â She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Vanderbilt and a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
