A committee of 21 people comprising 3 from each of the 7 clans was elected. The committee interviews local skilled contractors, buys building materials, mobilizes community members to bring water, sand and stones from sources around the clinic site, and accounts for expenditure and transactions. Currently, all donations are tax deductible and are channeled through the Vanderbilt Department of Finance and wired to the clinic account in Kenya.
