Medical Patient and Visitor Shuttle Service Information


PATIENT TRANSPORT COURTESY VANS
(Monday-Friday) 7:30am – 4:30pm 
The primary function of this route is to transport patients of the Vanderbilt Medical Center from specified locations to other specified locations on a set route. The set stops are MCN (canopy), VUH (circular drive), Central (circular drive), VCH (circular drive), PRB (circular drive), VAV (portico) and MCE (Level 2). Patient Transport is a set route and utilizes (2) Wheel chair accessible mini-vans. These vans are also utilized for on-call transporting of special mobility needs VUMC staff to and from parking garages and surface lots to their assigned work area on the VUMC campus. The average daily rider ship on this route is 125 patients, visitors and staff. 

HOSPITALITY SERVICE (Monday-Friday) 7:00am – 9:00pmThe primary function of this route is to transport visitors and patients to and from local Hospitality Houses and Hotels where they are staying to VUMC facilities. Hospitality services may also be used to transport patients between medical facilities. All pickups are dispatched from a central location where patients and visitors request transport by calling 615-936-1215 option 2. The average daily rider ship on this route is 100 patients and visitors.  

CHILDREN’S VAN (Monday – Friday) 8:30am – 4:30pm
The primary function of this route is to transport patients and their families between Children’s Hospital and South Garage to VUMC Specialty Clinics treating Children and East Garage on a continuous loop with no set schedule. This 14 passenger van is equipped with 3 built in car seats.  The average daily rider ship on this route is 50 patients and visitors.
