Emily, originally from Memphis, began her career as a research assistant at Vanderbilt approximately one year ago. She graduated from Middle TennesseeState University with a Bachelor in Animal Science and Masters of Biotechnology. She was recently married to Marco Born, a German tennis star, on May 30, 2009. She enjoys playing tennis, running, and playing with her dogs. She has enjoyed learning new research techniques, and thinks that she could not have chosen a better place to start her career.
