A graduate of Western Michigan University’s BSN program, Jillian Russell began her career at Vanderbilt in January 2009 as a Nurse Resident matched to the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Jill has also experienced the unique role of a Research Nurse Specialist focusing on various arrhythmia, heart failure, cardiac device, and general cardiology clinical trials. She has also earned her Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification. Prior to transitioning to her current role with NEPD, Jill received her MSN in Health Systems Management from Vanderbilt University’s School of Nursing unveiling her passion for nursing education and professional development.
Outside of Vanderbilt, Jill enjoys visiting family in Michigan, biking, kickboxing, yoga, watching hockey, and spending time with her husband, Jimi, and their two Siamese cats.
