Clinical Orientation

Clinical Orientation is designed for licensed and non-licensed clinical staff new to VUMC.  Orientation is dependent on previous work experience, skill level, position, and unit/area.

Participants are provided the opportunity to review skills, participate in didactic and discussion sessions, and to learn Vanderbilt computer systems.



Additional topics include:

• Nursing and care partner skills
• Health care team roles
• National patient safety goals
• Tennessee donor services
• Nursing quality
• Communication best practices

Hosted by Nursing Education and Professional Development.

Target Audience Targeted for licensed and non-licensed new VUMC hires; required or elective programming based on individual skill set, prior experience, position, and unit/area.
