Meredith graduated from The University of Alabama at Birmingham with her Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and Nursing.  She began her nursing career in 2006 in the specialty area of Women’s Health where she worked in the labor & delivery, mother/baby, gynecology/oncology and plastic surgery patient care areas.  In 2011, Meredith obtained her MSN with a focus on Nursing Education from Samford University.  Over the past 7 years, she has worked as a staff nurse, preceptor for new employees and students, charge nurse and nursing instructor.  Meredith joined the Nursing Education and Professional Development Department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in August 2013.  In her role as a Nursing Professional Development Specialist, her primary focus is to serve the educational needs of the Vanderbilt Medical Groups; specifically, working with VMG Clinical Orientation.  In addition, she works with the Preceptor Program, student placement and acts as an educational resource for the VMG clinics.
