Center for Molecular Neuroscience Core Facilities
The Center for Molecular Neuroscience provides access to multiple resources at Vanderbilt to aid Investigators in their research goals.
- Neurochemistry Core performs assays of neurotransmitter concentrations in brain tissue, designs custom assays as well as provides training in HPLC methods
- Neural Cell Imaging and Histology provides equipment, training, methods and protocols for imaging and histology techniques
- Murine Neurobehavioral Laboratory provides fundamental behavioral testing services, training and consultation regarding analysis of behavioral phenotypes in mutant mice
- Shared Equipment includes instrumentation such as centrifuges, shaker incubators, scintillation counters, cell culture facility, microscopy, etc., distributed over 3 floors of MRB III (6, 7 & 8)
- Transgenic Mouse/ES Cell Shared Resource performs a variety of techniques including pronuclear DNA microinjection, ES cell microinjection, gene targeting, etc
