Dr. Weaver’s clinical interests include all aspects of intracranial Neurosurgery with a focus on surgery for benign and malignant tumors, metastatic disease to the brain and spine, and skull base surgery.
Education:
Dr. Weaver performed his undergraduate studies at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, and obtained his medical degree with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Postgraduate Training:
Dr. Weaver completed his Internship in General Surgery and his Residency in Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina Medical School in Chapel Hill. Dr. Weaver held a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital before coming to Nashville.
Current Research Interests:
The study of pharmacological and genetic therapies in the treatment of malignant brain tumors.
