Gary Solomon, PhD

Associate Professor of Neurological Surgery and Psychiatry

As a clinical neuropsychologist, Dr. Solomon specializes in assessment and sports concussion treatment. He is the Team Neuropsychologist for the Nashville Predators and the Consulting Neuropsychologist for the Tennessee Titans. He is an Associate Section Editor for Neurosurgery, serves on the Editorial Boards of American Journal of Sports Medicine, Concussion, and Archives of Clinical Neuropsychology, and is a Diplomate in Neuropsychology from the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology.

Education:
Dr. Solomon completed his internship at Vanderbilt. He received his Ph.D. from Texas Tech University, his M.S. from Mississippi State University, and his B.A. from the University of Georgia.

Professional Affiliations:
Dr. Solomon is a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology and is a Charter Member of the Sports Neuropsychology Society.

Research Interests:
Dr. Solomon’s research interests include sports-related concussions and the neuropsychological aspects of central nervous system disorders.
