Mark A. Cobb, MD, FAANS

Dr. Cobb is an integral part of the Vanderbilt Community Practice Program. He primarily sees patients at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. His clinical interests are in general neurosurgery.

Education:
In Nashville, TN, Dr. Cobb received his Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, in Mathematics and Biblical Languages from David Lipscomb College in 1978, his Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from the Vanderbilt University Graduate School in 1980, and his MD degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Post-graduate Training:
Dr. Cobb completed his internship training in Surgery and his residency training in Neurosurgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR. In 1997, he completed a fellowship in Epilepsy Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT.

Other Responsibilities:
Dr. Cobb is active in numerous medical associations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the American Epilepsy Society.
