Michele Marie Hasselblad, RN, MSN is the Administrative Director of Invasive Cardiology and Director of Perioperative Services at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. She is responsible for operations in the following specialties: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Electrophysiology, Short Stay Interventional Unit, and the following surgical specialties: Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Bronchoscopy. In addition, Ms. Hasselblad has had oversight for Vanderbilt’s cardiac hybrid suite since 2005.
Ms. Hasselblad came to Vanderbilt in 2005 from the Rochester, MN area where she worked as a staff nurse at Mayo Medical Center, with a clinical focus in cardiac and thoracic operative nursing. She completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from Jacksonville University in Florida and her graduate degree in nursing, with a focus in Health Systems Management, from Vanderbilt University in 2010.
Ms. Hasselblad currently serves as a board member for the American College of Cardiology Administrators and is a member of the University Health Systems Consortium Cardiac Roundtable Steering Committee.
