Scott Strech RN, BSN, MBA is the Director, Perioperative Services Education and Research.
Scott has worked in acute care for over 25 years, starting as a transporter, then EMT, CRTT and RN in a variety of critical care, emergency services, cardiovascular services and perioperative services.
Prior to Vanderbilt, he held a variety of leadership and consulting roles with oversight of multiple cardiovascular services areas including cardiac & vascular surgery, cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology lab, and inpatient nursing units.
Scott completed his BSN at Delta State University and MBA at Ole Miss. He is currently completing his PhD at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He has also worked as an adjunct professor for multiple universities including UAB and Vanderbilt, focusing in healthcare management and healthcare informatics.
Scott has spoken at various national conferences including AORN & UHC. He represents Vanderbilt on national councils including UHC Perioperative Services Steering Council.
