Surgical case carts are picked at the facility for the adult hospital at VUMC. Each surgical case that is scheduled will receive a case cart with the necessary supplies and instruments to perform a surgical procedure. The facility not only has supplies for the cases but also is equipped with a CSP department that processes instrumentation on a daily basis. The operation is a 24/7 operation that staffs 52 FTEs. The facility has continued to improve processes and better support supply and instrument needs of the physicians. All case carts originate at the VCCOC facility and then are transported to the Medical center.
