Hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. The turnaround time for processing a user systems access request is 3 to 5 days or less.

Due to security reasons, Security Managers are required to submit a delete request for a user that transfers out or leaves the department.
Security Managers should immediately contact the Help Desk at 343-4357 when an employee resigns abruptly or is terminated.
For auditing purposes, Identity Operations conducts a bi-annual Auditing/Verification process of active users. Refer to policy IM 10-30.19 Authorization and Access to Electronic Systems and Applications Section IV: Specific Information, Item D: Modification of Access.
Email notifications are sent to security managers with instructions on how to review users under their security management. Dependent upon their review, security managers are asked to submit online requests via the VUIT Identity Operations Online Form for all transfers, deletions, name changes, etc. Security managers are also asked to verify their users have the needed clinical applications for their current job roles and request removal of any clinical application access no longer needed.
Security managers are required to audit their active user listing by logging into the VUIT Identity Operations Management System with their RACF ID and RACF Password.

Two designated security managers (primary and secondary) are required and approved by the Manager or Department Head. The completed form is signed by the appointees and Manager or Department Head; submitted electronically to the VUIT Identity Operations team.
When a Security Manager is no longer serving in the role for his or her department, a removal of security manager form should be completed and submitted electronically to the VUIT Identity Operations team.
The process for purchasing RSA SecurID tokens for remote StarPanel login has changed. Departments will no longer use 1180s and will now purchase tokens using the eProcurement process.
