Cyrus Wong was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He attended Queen's University in Ontario having earned the institution's most prestigious Chancellor's Scholarship and graduated with distinction. He subsequently attended the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and obtained his medical degree in 2008. During medical school he was involved in the development of a novel rodent brainstem glioma model. He is currently a fifth year resident in Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is doing an infolded two year clinical and research fellowship in Spine.
