The Howard Gannon Fund was created by the family and friends of Howard Gannon, Jr. Howard Gannon, Jr. was a brave man who fought cancer with dignity and grace. He was a loving and gracious husband of 42 years and a father who taught right from wrong by being a great role model. He was a faithful Christian who influenced many by his love of God. His family and friends created this endowment to give hope to those who will be faced with the challenge of cancer in the future. Howard Gannon, Jr. was one of the strongest stewards for helping others. His loving spirit continues to live through this fund.
Mrs. Helen Gannon and Mr. Keith Gannon (Mother and Son) have made charitable contributions to Vanderbilt University for the purpose of establishing the Howard Gannon, Jr. Endowment, to support the Endocrine and Thyroid Cancer Disorders surgical department, directed by Dr. Carmen C.
